Title: 1934 Plymouth 201 water pump
Post by: John Goddard on February 17, 2024, 08:27:24 PM
Hi

I bought a pump in Australia which looks to be the same as follows

https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1288704 (https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1288704)

None of the online photos show the impeller. The original is 2 vanes and the one I bought has a different impeller with six vanes.

I am aware of the other changes to the backing plate that are required from online forums but no-one has discussed the impeller and if the extra vanes creates any problems?

Thanks for your help in advance.

John

Maybe your old one had 6 and now has 2.  Anyway, i would not worry about it.  If it fits use it.
