I am ready to have the interior of my 48 Plymouth redone. Got quotes for seat fabric 20 years ago and thought $59.95/yd was high (Hampton Coach). Today I got a similar fabric sample quote from SMS Auto Fabrics, and am pretty shocked at what has happened to fabric prices - now $149/yd! Has anybody here had their seats done lately, and if so what fabric source did you use? I am re-thinking my intention of keeping the interior as original. Should have done it 20 years ago!
Jerry,
Is a shop going to do your work ? They should have books of samples to order.
If not, is there an upholstery shop in your area (auto or home) ? They will have sample books
of materials you can order.

Thanks Bill! That's exactly what I've decided to do and I think I've located an upholstery shop that does old cars. I definitely want them to do the seats and may have them do the door panels if the price is right. Otherwise, my wife and I will do the door panels.
