Anyone know the process used to do the wood grain looking dash and window reveals on the 48 P-15 Special Deluxe. Anyone have them restored? Approximate cost? Thanks
Several years ago I used the Grainit Technologies kit for dash and all window and windshield trim on my P19. Kits are $350-$500. I think I used the larger kit. That worked out because I did a few do-overs in practicing with it. If I were to do it again I would do a better job of surface prep since all the blemishes show up - like all painting. But even with all the flaws in mine the overall result is surprisingly good. It is a major improvement over just painting those surfaces.
Could you post or send me a [picture?

Thanks for posting help on uploading photos. I have some pictures together but cannot get then to post. They are from iPhone, converted to JPG and sized within limits. I am using a Mac mini and Safari. Will give it a try with Google Chrome browser later.
We spent 1994 through much of 1997 in Germany while I worked for Deere & Co. in Mannheim. Really enjoyed your country.
Thanks again for help.
bobhanson if you send me a message with your email I will forward the pictures that way.
