tech question -- my 1937 will not start
New 6V positive ground hooked up
starter cranks
engine spins
gas or started fluid down throat of carburetor
no suggestion of firing up
checked spark - took out 3 spark plugs and looked at it as I had them grounded --
-- don't see any
the coil measures at 6+ volts at primary outlet ( primary center wire on coil )
distributor spins
points open and close
Ran last time I tried to start years ago
I figure coil and ignition switch must be okay or there would be no 6v at coil
I next ordered and plan to install new points condenser and rotor
suggestions as to next step ?

I think that You are right with looking after electricity!
as my mechanic says, "Most carburetor problems are electrical".
Most probable failure is the condenser.
As beeing cheap, buy two, because even new ones can be not working.
You cannot trust the coil too!
It is very difficult to identify the coil´s condition by V-meter.
A field test is more enlighting.
Maybe someone can lend You one to check it out.
