Hey- I have a 39 Ply- and I need touch up paint- I believe it's called aviator blue.
Is there a place that handles these colors?- someplace that others have gone to?

A good friend of mine painted his 41 Plymouth in "original" aviator blue. Well, it is as close as anyone could argue. It may, but probably will not match the color you are trying to match. If you would like, I can contact him for the mixing code that I would hope he still has. Other than that, I would look into a good body shop in your area to ask someone with knowledge of paint what they recommend.
I had let the color on my red P23 analysed, and they mixed me a pefect fitting replacement color for any touch ups.
However, this new color reacted differently with time and sunlight as the old color did.
A couple of years later, the touch ups had got a light puple shine.
Well, as my varnish is spotty anyhow, this does not bother me, but You should consider this too!

In my area there are automotive paint shops. And, at least a while back, one near me had a service where they would scan a sample and make a matching color. Call around your local area and see if there is one near you and if they offer this service. If so, then clean up your car as well as you can where the original paint you want to match is in good condition. Multiple spots if possible. Then take the car to the paint supplier and have them scan those areas.

I found a shop here in Denton, Texas just like Todd describes. They can shoot it, and the computer creates a mix. Then they make some and tweak it to match the part I took them. She said "it doesn't match until I say it matches". I can get as much or little as I want for touch up or for the whole body. I should hear from her next week with a match. I will let you know how well it matches.
