Title: Ground straps
Post by: Gary Vickery on February 06, 2021, 11:47:56 PM
When I bought my PJ a few years ago, it had regular thin battery cables.  I replaced them with 00 cables I had NAPA make for me, and at the same time had them make a 00 cable for a ground strap from block to frame.  But I have noticed that whenever anyone talks about ground straps they mention braided straps.  Does it matter if they are cable or braided?

I don't think it makes any difference if the conductor is in the form of a flat strap or if it is round, what makes a difference is the cross sectional area. If they are both rated as being equivalent to 00 cable you should be fine.
