I have a 1955 Belvedere with PowerFlite transmission.
My previous post wasn't quite accurate.
We put a dye in the transmission fluid and saw that the fluid leaked between the Cam (21-139-36) and Lever (21-139-12) when the engine is not running after the fluid drains down from the torque converter (see jpg attachment for picture from parts manual).
There is no seal between the Cam and the Lever.
Has anyone found a solution or retrofit that can solve this problem?
Not clear from the diagram, but could you slide an "O" ring over the shaft?
good idea, Todd!
But Lion would need to add a certain pressure to seat the o-ring against the lever´s bushing.
I don´t know if a washer plus a spring on the cam shaft would find space and would help.
If all is in good reach :)) , it could be worth a try.
Greetings from Düsseldorf!

I believe that is a 727 transmission. These are really common. I would check with your local trans shop. they have probably got this all figured out for us.
Just my 2Cent worth.
Happy motoring, Gary R.
