Does anyone have a current number (one that parts store personnel would recognize) for the fan belt for a 1932 4 cylinder Plymouth motor?
Thanks,
Harlan Olson
Unfortunately I don't have that one in my database. If/when you do find one that fits can you let me know so I can add it to my information?
Thanks!
Harlan,
It just occurred to me today while I was "ambling through" a home/farm store and looking through their
automotive/trailer/farm mechanical sections that all you need to do is take the measurements of the
belt you need (length, width & pitch) to a Tractor Supply store or a tractor dealer/tractor parts store or
something similar and match up what you need with what they have. I seem to remember that I think
your car uses a wide fan belt. I would wager that one of these places will have what you need. Also,
if you live near a large city, an industrial supply store or an electric motor supply/re-builder might have it too.
Good luck with your search. Let us know what you find.
Went out to see if my fan belt still had a number on it, (30U 4 cyl) but no such luck. I am sure I got it from NAPA Auto Parts.
Happy motoring, Gary R.
I have a gates Green stripe belt # 686 on my 31. The 32 should use the same belt.
I just looked in NAPA's on-line catalog and they list belt #2524465 as an exact fit for
a 1932 PA or PB (196 cu. in. 4 engine).
I ended up going to napa twice to find a belt . I did find one that was close and would work, at a cost of $30 + I than went to a farm dealer, Case,Bob Cat, etc., Found a greenstripe belt to fit exact at a cost of $10

Care to list a brand and part number? I could then add it to my parts database at https://www.ply33.com/Parts/numeric (https://www.ply33.com/Parts/numeric). It might make it easier for the next person.
