I am looking at 2 models a 1949 and 1950. Are there any serious concerns other than their age?
49 and 50? I'm not sure I would want such a new car. No time to work the bugs out. Seriously, any old car is a lot of work but worth it. I hope you find what you want.
P17 -P20 no idea what they changed through those models, Ron I would suggest you contact Mark Duggan on the facebook page not your normal car trader, lovely guy he also has a page R&D USA Classics. Mark is good people.
I am searching for a car and I realize that old cars can have issues but I would like to avoid ones that have chronic ones. I have a 1954 chevy truck and I don't want to put a lot of money in the car to enjoy it. https://photos.app.goo.gl/OCBhOXzpofbwKdm22. This my 54 and I have twice what I can hope to get out of it. I don't want to do that again but I do want a safe driver.
I would spend a heap of time on the allpar site as it has the most detailed info on the cars and the changes from year to year. When I go to look at a car I bring a rolling jack, a good light and a long handled screwdriver to poke at questionable rusty spots. Be thorough!
