Title: 46 Ply coupe doors mechanization
Post by: jdmaze on February 02, 2018, 03:40:45 PM
To close my doors (both) I have to stand back and really give them a shove.  Anybody know how to attack this problem?  The latches line up, is there something on the inside that should be replaced?  Thanks in advance.

If I knew the answer my driver side door would probably close much easier. :)

Other than lubrication and examination of the mechanism for obvious alignment/condition issues I don't know what to suggest.

Thanks for the reply Tod.  I?ve been looking around the internet and found something that might help.  They were talking about taking the whole mechanizum apart and check the hole in the gear that turns when you close the door.  One guy was talking about redrilling the hole because it was out of round.  I guess there is always  Bear Claw.
