Title: Rod bolts
Post by: Soup on February 02, 2018, 01:10:17 PM
Does anyone have a source for 30U rodbolts.  Mine are all stretched from years of over torquing. Thanks.

If I read the parts book correctly, the 30-U connecting rod bolts were part number 77344.

It appears that the same bolt was used on the U, 30-U, PA, PB, PC, PD, PE and PF.

I was under the impression that the 1934 PE and PF used the same rods as the 1935-41 201 cu.in. engines. The part numbers for those are different however. At least the 1936-37 used 694896 and the 1938-41 used 860792. I wonder if the later bolts were the same size/shape but a different alloy.

Anyway, it looks like you can widen your search to include listings for 1929 through 1934 rod bolts. And if you stumble on some for 1936-41 you might want to see if they look the same and may be usable.

Thanks for that information.  The search is on.
