Just got my shiny new heater core from the shop. It was dated Feb 1960. Ive repaired the fiberglass heater box, but in sanding it down it of course has runined the color.
I cant find the rigjt color of brown to match. Should this matter, or in the world of restoration will any brown work?
Thanks. And this is my first post here. Wo who, look at me!
Well, silly me. Was told when i sent in my check i could log in here and ask questions. Was told they would be answered by experts.
I see how well that goes.
You got my 32 bucks. Hope i at least get the magazine.
Guess thats all im really paying for.
Thanks.
darn. Just wasted all my time typing. Got to remember, no one responds.
Not all of us are experts. :)
You did not mention the year or model of your car so that makes telling you the exact color brown difficult. Or how much the judges in whatever class your car is in will ding you based on a slightly off color choice.
For what it is worth, I don't think that all of the year/model technical advisors are on line. When you get your copy of the Plymouth Bulletin you will find a list of advisors. Your best bet would be to contact the appropriate advisor for your car.
Left,
Yes, Tod has a good idea. Also, you can go to the Plymouth Owner's Club store,
download the latest Bulletin (you can download all the Bulletins listed in blue),
look on page two and find your tech adviser now.

No such thing as wasting your time, good things come slow and this forum is a fun forum to belong to. I have been a member of the club since approx. 1994 and have enjoyed the POC very much. Mark Olson works very hard to maintain it. Granted it doesn't get the use the face book page does, but without people like you it never will so please give the forum a chance and do some digging you just might find the answers you are looking for in previous posts.
Haha welcome to the club ghost town. You are here with the same expectation I had of lots of friendly folks with all the info you will ever need. Reality is there are lots of friendly folks in the club but few experts that are willing to take the time to come here and dispense useful information. To be fair there are probably a lot more experts in the club but many don't even use a computer.
My experience with tech advisors has been disappointing as well though there must be some really good ones for other years. After 2+ years I have finally found via the FB site a member that has a lot of experience in my year and model that is willing to answer questions and make suggestions. I have learned more in the last few months than in the previous couple of years.
As to the paint question your advisor may be able to help but the reality is that few onlookers would ever know that the the color is correct or not. If you are wanting to enter the car for judging you will find out if they know and maybe where to get the right stuff.
Good luck to ya!
some 5 years ago was very active. Than, for some technical reasons, it became very slow.
Remebber, that Marc ist keeping it in his free time!
Within a year most the prolific contributors lost their patience and left it.
Facebook took over the traffic, but I don?t like FB at all and look omly here any couple of days.
This Forum helped me to keep my 51 rolling.
Greetings from D?sseldorf!"
