Title: 1938 Leaking Antifreeze
Post by: Rkatk on October 22, 2017, 05:42:17 PM
Antifreeze has just begun pouring from the bell housing on my all original 201 P6 1938 plymouth when running. There is no sign of water in the oil and no visible leaks on the block or from the head. The engine still runs sounds good. Are there freeze plugs the back of the block that would be covered by bell housing or do I possibly have a crack in the waterjacket?
  Regards,

Not sure on the '38 as they did a pretty big redesign of the block in '35, but there is a freeze plug on the back of the block on my '33. It would not surprise me if there is a freeze plug there on your car.
