Hi, Any one know how to remove the cup part of the front pinion bearing without pulling the whole gear case out? Thanks Dick Moody

I'll bet there was a special tool for that but doubt you will ever find one. I have two 36 rear ends that are in progress, one junk as a parts donor and experiment subject, the other will go back under the car. I don't have to pull that race but if I did I would find a way.
I just looked at the donor and figured if I could pull the long spacer out I would be able to get the 3 legs of a puller under the lip of the race. By making extensions  of the flat link connectors it would be long enough to use the center of the pinion shaft to pull against. Whether  that  is a good idea or not I don't know but that is why I try stuff on the junker first. Good luck!
