Title: I'm Back
Post by: Wm Steed on April 12, 2017, 12:36:57 PM
Good morning to all of the citizen/members of the POC.
After a long absence from the "bulletin" I am back, had a lot of personal issues for the past couple of years, they are all behind me.
My '39 Plym conv coupe is finally done after 16 years of work. I am very proud of how the car turned out, it is a pleasure to drive.
I sold my PA a couple of years ago, the man I sold it two decided not to use the 2dr sdn body I gathered up for the car, he sectioned the body at the 'B' pillar, adding the rear portion of a PA coupe to the rear portion of the body.
The car was re-powered with a small Dodge hemi, it is really turning out pretty neat.
That's about it for now..  Wm.

Hello Wm, just seen your post, sorry to hear you've had problemsl but good to know your back, very sad story on your PA after collecting the parts for somebody to destroy but each to their own. The 39 looks a real head turner hope it gives you many hours of pleasure, after 16 yrs I bet you can't believe your luck. Take care.

Thanks for the reply Tom. It was somewhat unfortunate that the only person that was really interested in buying my PA was a person that wanted to hot rod it. You know the old story, "money talks and BS walks". On the bright side the coupe body that was used from the "B" pillar back, came from a PA that had no chassis, doors or deck lid.
The use of the 2dr sdn doors and floor pan made the finished body more practical. The use of an early Dodge Hemi in the PA chassis also worked out very well. Actually two PA's were saved in the process of rebuilding the car. And since mine was a titled car it is still registered as a '31 Plym PA..
I kept the fenders, running boards, headlights and a bunch more parts for the PA because the man that bought the PA did not want them. Wm.
