Title: 1934 PE water pump needed

need a water pump body (or complete unit) for a PE. or leads on what else will fit it since it is not a true restoration. thanks Richard send reply to or 407-417-4882

There are a number of rebuilding services available if you can't find a pump that fits.
If you have a little metal working skill, you can buy a pump for a '35-59 Plymouth or Dodge (new units available by order from NAPA, etc.) and make your own backing plate from 1/8" flat stock: The mounting bolt/stud holes are the same for all pumps but the inlet to the block is different on '33 and '34 and that is all in the backing plate.

Not sure if it affects cooling but I purchased a 35 water pump from Bernbaums and aside from the difference in the backing plate the impeller was different. The configuration of the impeller was a round piece with multiple fins as opposed to the 2 fin set up on the original 34 water pump. This would suggest more cooling water flow which may cause the upper temperature to cool too much?

I doubt that anything could cool the engine too much. If you are running a water/antifreeze mixture, the system is already at a disadvantage over pure water. A little extra water flow might be helpful. I added an overflow can, too.
