Title: Distributor Removal
Post by: Mick54Ply on August 16, 2016, 11:10:15 PM
I can"t remove the distributor from my 54 ply engine. It moves a inch or so then jams. I think the pin in the shaft has moved. Has any one run into this problem. What can be done.

I haven't checked this forum in some time, so I didn't see your post until now. Were you able to get the distributor out? I can tell you what happened with mine. I learned why it is necessary to remove the distributor with the crank in position with the #1 piston at top dead center. At other positions, the crank interferes with removal of the distributor.
