I'm a new member of POC, and just bought a 1935 PJ Deluxe. It is in good shape but needs a little TLC. The brakes pull hard to the left, so I thought I would take a look. But I can't get the brake drum off. Any suggestions? I thought about loosening the adjusting cams, but then I won't know if they have been dragging or not. Once it was up on blocks, I also noticed that I could barely turn the right wheel. Any thoughts on that will be appreciated as well.

Front or rear drum? Rear drum needs a specific type of puller. Front should come off without much issue.
Fronts. I think I have it now - I just didn't know the hub comes off with the drum. I was trying to just get the drum off. Thanks for responding.

If you don't have one, try to get a 1934 thru 1936 maintenance manual. They are reproduced and are on line. There is a major and minor adjustment, the latter which entails turning the large cams. If too tight, the shoes will lockup and prevent drum removal, which may not be necessary. Have the front end off the ground on jack stands to counter check each wheel and check which way to turn the cams.
