Title: 29 plymouth shift tower
Post by: gregorybliss on March 06, 2016, 09:15:40 PM
My shifter has a lot of side to side movement, found that on the shift tower there is a pin that is moving causing the excess movement.  How do I get the pin out or can I tack weld it in place.  Thank

I think you may find that it is not so much the pin which is worn but the holes it passes through.

redrill and insert an oversize pin.    Tack welding the old one is a temporary fix at best and will make it really tough to remove at a later date.
