I have replaced the seals in my 1930U business coupe but it still leaks past and drips out of the rubber gator. Is there any chance of buying a new Master cylinder from anywhere or a reconditioned one. It does not have a reservoir on it but one on the firewall, also the brake light switch is fitted to the side of it at the far end, the whole thing is attached to the bell housing wings by three bolts, two ??? top and one bottom.
I'd suggest getting your original sleeved in either brass or stainless steel. Either way will make it better than new.
Unfortunately the fellow that sleeved my master and slave cylinders retired to I can't recommend him but there are a number of vendors who are still in business who do.
I could find nobody locally to do the sleeve job on my 29 coupe.. So, being the cheap ass I am, I honed.... and honed some more. Mine has not leaked for the last year so I reckon I fixed it. It took a spell. The 1939 model I reckon I will have to find someone to sleeve it. lol Sometime persistence pays off, sometimes not. :D

Did you try White Post Restorations? They rebuild and resleeve both wheel cylinders and master cylinders.
