Title: Whitewall size
Post by: suntennis on April 20, 2013, 07:57:05 PM
Is the 3 1/4 inch whitewall the correct or original whitewall size for a 1952 car? Thanks

In Coker's tire ad, they say this resembles a 2 1/4" wide white......which I like personally.

Link to ad page.............

And this resembles a 4 inch...........

Hope the links work.  Otherwise you can go to Coker's web page and see all their stuff.

Your estimate of the width may be pretty accurate as your car was in between the 4 inch
"gangsterwalls" and the narrower wide whites of the late fifties.

Thanks for the input. Coker Tire says for the 1952, 3 inch or wider was in use.
