Can anyone help me?
The Historical Association National car in Italy has classified my P8 de luxe coupe rumble seat as a simple two-door coupe.
What documents do I show to prove the authenticity of the car?
Any advice and help will be welcome
thanks
Sebastiano
You are most likely going to be very hard pressed to get official recognition that your car is a rumble seat coupe (RS)... Does it in fact have the rumble seat in lieu of the trunk?
According to the Standard Catalog of American Cars there were only 1,332 RS coupes made in '39... All of the conv. coupes were RS..
Here in the states the majority of states, DMV, do not recognize designations like DeLux, Rumble Seat, etc.. My '39 P8 RS Conv. Coupe is simply a 1939 Plymouth conv....Bill
Thanks, Bill,
the mistake is due because the employer wrote business....
Now I'm waiting, I sent photos, brochure and so many information..
Bye
Sebastiano
That is one great looking car Seb
I like these cars very much!
btw. the rumble seat in Germany is "Schwiegermuttersitz"
which is "mother-in-law-seat".
Well, mine is 82 years old now- going in may succeed, but how out?
I wouldn?t risk my "best son in law" status at her- even having she one doughter only...
Greetings from D?sseldorf! Go
Go, here in Italy the rumble is called ... the place of the "suocera"...
I think it is funny, but when I talk and i say Rumble seat the people look as don't undestanding the means and so I say "what you in Italy indicate as.. "
Hi, Bill many thanks for indications,
do you know where I can find just to buy the Standard Catalog of American Cars ?
Best regards to everybody
Sebastiano
