Title: 1936 rumble seat coupe - Very Rare
Post by: POC-Admin on November 13, 2012, 03:10:20 PM
Please do not respond to me or this posting - this is for information only - All I know about the car is below.
A fellow POC member who lives in Maine saw a 1936 rumble seat coupe in front of a local auction house. It was last registered in 1970 and it appears to have been dry stored in a barn since then. The owner is now deceased. He knows very little about the older Plymouths but the metal all looks to be original with few dents. The interior woodwork is very dull but does not appear to be cracked. It has a heater. The seat covers, headliner and door panels are very worn but appear original. There is no apparent rot behind the seats or on the floor of the rumble seat. The wheels are aftermarket. The roof insert consists of clear plastic fastened by screws. The tires are flat so I could not see underneath. It looks like it was used for regular transportation when it went into the barn.

The auction house has tentatively scheduled an auction for December 1 that will include the car. I am forwarding this information to you in case you know of any POC members who might be interested in the car. I can take some pictures if anyone is interested. The location is:
