Title: spare tire cover needed
Post by: DixIndian on October 26, 2012, 12:21:45 AM
I need the under pan for a 1934 PE coupe. I have the tree and top cover. I suspect they were about the same for the years. as long as the diameter is the same, it will work. TIA

I'm not sure, but I think 1935 and 1934 are the same.  Perhaps someone that knows for sure will let us know.  I've found a complete 1935 Plymouth rear spare tire cover in good shape.  Call Wayne at (507) 269-6696.  He advertised it on the AACA forum about a year ago and never sold it.  Asking $150.  The link will take you to his original post:

There are several covers that were used but the 34 has a higher hub cap flange to accommodate the shape of the wheel center. The 35 is flatter and has a larger tire valve access.  Some covers do not have a back panel at all.  Maybe yours never had one. Worth checking out.
