How often do you 4-cyl guys change the gear oil in the rear axle and in the transmission?

I change it once, when I got the car. I don't think I have to change it again unless I start seeing metal on the grease, then it may be to late... lol  Personnally, I don't think it has to be changed on a scedule.  Nice car..

As per the Owners Manual, lubricant change for Transmission is at 5000 miles and for the rear axle it is at 2000 miles respectively
