Title: chroming a plastic turn indicator lens

I am restoring a '56 Plymouth, and need to re-chrome or re-silver the inside of the passenger side plastic lens of the turn indicator (parking) light. What can I use to apply a chrome or silver like finish, and where can I get some? Dick Friedman;

there are some spray chrome processes available that don't use electroplating, but plastic plating companies may be the best bet. check out Mr G's, National Mo-Part, Totally Auto as listed in the Mopar Parts Locating Guide,published by Jalopy Joe's Publishing.

Dick,
You know how newer automobiles use clear lenses and have a fluted reflector behind the bulb? You might want to check out a junk yard or auto parts store, etc., and see if you can find a lens assembly similar in size to the area you need to cover. If you could find a lens assembly at a junk yard with the lens broken, that would be even better. You can remove the fluted reflector and trim it to the size you need. The reflector will already be chromed and will increase the light output of your parking light/turn signal.
