Title: cardboard for windlace
Post by: dickf1976 on October 14, 2011, 01:45:52 AM
I am restoring a '56 Belvedere 4-door sedan. I can buy the windlace (fabric wrapped sponge rubber), but where can I get the cardboard to which the windlace must be sewn? (The car came missing a lot of cardboard, and what there is is in bad shape). Dick Friedman; .

If by cardboard you mean tack strip, you can get it from Restoration Specialties. http://www.restorationspecialties.com/

Jim:

the "tacking strip" sold by Restoration Specialties is Not what I am looking for.

I am looking for cardboard that has openings punched in it for attaching to the inside of the door post
