Looking for replacement mounts for a 1955 Ply. with a Powerflite automatic transmission & a V8 engine. The MOPAR number on the original three inch circular mounts is: 1404 337 AT. I need two. Thank you, Scott Grundy
Did you check with Andy Bernbaum or Pro Antique Auto Parts?
Do they have NAPA in Alaska? If so, you might check with them.
Hope this helps,
Bob
try steelerubber.com , they have them listed in there parts catalog. there part #is 40-0411-11.
Thank you Bob & Elmo. I always check with NAPA first; this time they disappointed me. I have the catalogues you refer to, but the mounts are not specifically listed for my car. The mount you refer to Elmo is almost identical & is one digit off from that listed in the Steele catalogue - I'll check with Chris Suminiski for his advice. My mounts do have a tubular shaft that ptotrudes through the mount fo an additional 5/8" at the bottom & a large washer below prevents the trans. from rising further. Seems a bit strange & I would think the freeplay would add stress to the single front engine mount. I asume the mounts I have are original. They are in decent shape for 28,000 miles & 56 years of age. (Alaska is very good to rubber & chrome parts.) I re-installed the old mounts but will pursue new mounts.
Thank you again. The POC & this forum are wonderful!
