Title: Babbitt to inserts?
Post by: GWR on May 25, 2011, 02:29:35 PM
I am trying to follow up on a rumor I heard that it was possible to convert the 4 cyl babbitt engines to common insert bearings. If anyone has any information about what is involved, who does this work, or costs please advise.

Thanks, Gary

This is commonly done with Model A Ford engines. You might search the internet for the couple of companies that are in this niche market.
