Title: 41 breaker points replacement
Post by: notdavidspade on May 24, 2011, 10:57:17 PM
Hi all,  I've attempted to replace my points, but the part that I bough has no resemblance to the part I have on the car.
According to a cross reference manual, NAPA part CS851P is the replacement points set.

This more closely resembles what I have:

Any ideas?  Is a retrofit possible? or does one just buy "NOS" breaker plates?

You should be able to get the correct points at NAPA. I have a NAPA number of ECH CS719A. It looks like that would fit your breaker plate.

Thanks, but I don't see how those points would fit either.  They look like a mirror image of what would be needed.
