Title: Can someone help this woman out?
Post by: POC-Admin on April 01, 2011, 10:24:39 AM
I got an email from a woman named Pat who has some hubcaps from a Plymouth and wants to know more about them - the belonged to her father.  I am posting photos here - I know that they are 50 something but I can't help Pat any more than that.  If you know details for her, her email address is

Anahita519(at)aol.com    -  (replace the (at) with the normal symbole)

I have her phone number but don't want to post it here.

they are 1954 Plymouth hubcaps...but for sure you need to know the number off the metal basket (black dish) in order to be certain what wheel they fit..these can be interchanged from car to car depending on the basket..I have seen a mix of these basket on these sets..can't explain it other than owner had mix match rims on his car..but assure you a variety of mounting baskets exist..

they are stainless steel wire baskets and fit the 15 inch wheel..the basic wire basket if interchangeable between a number of different car makes...the company making these for Plymouth also sold them to many other makes of cars..the basket and center caps were the difference..

I have seen them on a 54 Wagon, a 54 Convertible, and perhaps a 53 Belvedere harttop.
