Title: Surpassed the 1900 Miles Driven this season
Post by: RC Drown on October 31, 2010, 04:50:23 PM
I put 50 some odd miles on the Plymouth today amist some rain and snow showers, not to mention even some sunshine, but I reached the 1900 miles driven for this season.  Last year I had approx 2500 miles driven, so I would like to add atleast another 100  miles before the snow flies in ernest

Good job, Bob,

I'm guessing about 500 miles on the '36 this year, once I got the problem with the brakes sorted out. One of these days, I'll have to see if the top will still go up.

More important than the mileage are the wonderful photos you take and post.

As of the last fill up, I've done a bit over 3900 miles this year with a 15.2 MPG average. Thats probably it for the year as I hope to get time to start dismantling the front sheet metal so I can get to the oil leak on the front of the engine.

Keep on truckin', Tod; I hope your oil leak is nothing serious. Last time I checked my mileage, it was 12-13 mpg. In case I never mentioned it, I really appreciate your website and your advice on this forum.

Cooper and I took advantage of the early November sunshine to go for a ride this afternoon, here are some of the photos.  Just as I took the photo of Cooper he moved, so I didn't get a real good shot of him

I put 30 miles on the '36 today. If you don't like Illinois weather, wait 10 minutes. Two days ago, I had a winter jacket and stocking cap on; today it was sunny & 70, so I went for a ride in shorts, sandals and T-shirt. Supposed to be sunny & warm tomorrow also. If so, I'm going for another ride, cuz this time of year, any nice day might be the last one of the year.

Pat glad you got to drive and enjoy the '36 today.  Here we had snow and sleet on and off all day, and the roads were sanded and salted, to that is it for now
