Title: 51-52 Radio Converted to 12 volts
Post by: jd2ksilver on November 06, 2009, 12:19:49 PM
I have a 12 volt radio conversion in my car that was done by Vintage Radio.  AM FM and AV jacks for external device.
It works fine, but it is not like a high end stereo system I was hoping for.  I have since purchased a set up from SONY with a great receiver and 10 disc CD changer, dual amps, works.

This radio can be used directly speakers, hooked up to a line out generator for a dual amp, equalizer set up.
Note the face plate is painted the color of my car.  If you want to go back to flat black you need to take the front off and re paint.  Not real hard to do.

I am putting this on EBay probably next week.  The the price for a club member would be $150 plus shipping.  94040 is my zip.

I am also looking for a junk radio that I can take off the front push buttons and button housing for my project.

Thanks for looking.

It has a separate AM/FM switch, and right/left balance

 ;D

Kathleen was, and is my partner in tearing the car down completely, and putting it all back together after rewiring, scrape and paint of the frame. all of it.?

During this process she swore she was going to sign it somewhere for the nest guy to see.? This was in 04 and she forgot.? So one day when I had the radio out to work behind it for the AC she seized the opportunity.? :).? Now she has to find another place to put her John Hancock. ( as we say in the states,,;) )
