Title: Slow
Post by: elmo on September 02, 2009, 02:11:43 AM
Is there some thing wrong with the site, after turning on the ignition fireing up and running with the choke out for a while till it warms up , it still takes up to 50 sec for any thing to happen , and when it does the same wait applys to get on one of the catagory,s. i live in NZ which in this computor world should not matter, and i am not on dial up. i,ve had a technician in to look at my pc , he said there is nothing wrong with it , and there is no virus,s slowing it up , i admit i no nothing about them , i would sooner be out in the shed working on my car.

The site has been super slow for me also.  This is the first day I have had the patience to read anything.  Too slow for my taste.

This is the first time in several days I have even gotten on the forum before timeouts (both mine and the computer!)

Is it possible for the administrator to email everyone when it is fixed so we don't need to take time to see if it is working yet?

Thanks!

For over a week I have found it near impossible to access the Plym-Bul.... Everything would start out normal.. e.g click on discussion..click on I understand, then wait, wait, wait.... for the page to load, after several minutes nothing but a blank screen....Bill

Jim;

Isn't there some kind of fix for this problem ?  It is so slow tonight, I am just giving up.

Worse than a Plymouth six with no compression.  I returned after several days to find I was still logged in from the last visit.  dp

I've had the Gen Discussion category in my "favorites" or "bookmarks" for some time.  I have no trouble getting here - it's after I arrive.....so, my hand brake isn't on, running cool, shifting O.K.....it must be the door latch that's stuck !

There has been a huge improvement in the speed of access to both the general site and the discussion groups in the last two days. For at least two weeks prior to that I virtually gave up trying get access. I'd click on 'I understamd' and about 50% of the time it timed out. The rest of the time I generally could not access the groups.

Working pretty well tonight.  However, consistant reliability is an issue.  It runs like GM board, must be the splashers aren't lubing the babbit bearings or something.  One day good next three bad.  Might be forced to Public transportation.  Chassis needs lubrication or something.
