Post by: dukjupiter on May 27, 2009, 11:55:39 PM
well i have tried 5 times to post an ad and just cant get it done i can see why there are only 12 ads on there.  i guess if you are registered here you are not registered to post ads so i reregistered recieved a password and still cant get it done. frustrating to say the least.

They are different programs.  This is Simple Machine Foundry discussion board and restricted to that database.  The classifieds are Noah's Classifieds a different program with a different database.  It gets confusing for you - I have to maintain two different programs but that is the way the web is - you have to register there and I will approve the ad if it is not spam - the reason there are only 12 - actually more now - ads is that I had to dump the entire list of over 100 ads when a spammer screwed up the older version of Noah's program I was using.

This site is made of many different data sources, and my own artistic (very limited) talent.  I am sorry if you can't figure it out, I hope this helps - Yes you do have to register over at the Classified ads again - sorry, I can't take the time to go through the 1200 registered users on this board an copy each user over there and then email them to login because I don't know your passwords - I can only change them - that is the way all programs work - the administrator can change but not reveal - at least good programs - think about it, most people use the same password for many sites - if I were able to see your password, I could try it on other sites you belong to - to remove that temptation, most programs don't let the admin see the passwords the users enter.  I manage 2000 users and PC's at my day job and I can change any of their passwords but I can't see them.
