Does anyone know how to remove the knobs from the light switches on a 1939 Plymouth?

If they are the same as the 41 Plymouths, then you will have to look on the bottom of the knob towards the rear. There you will see a small notch. Gently insert a small, flat blade screwdriver into the notch and work the blade towards you. As you are doing this, apply LIGHT pulling pressure to the knob. Should come right off. DO NOT attempt to do this with the CHOKE or THROTTLE knobs. They are molded onto the cable and they WILL be damaged.

sometimes that little lever inside the knob gets corroded, so u might give a sqirt of WD40 thru the little red tube that is always falling off the nozzle.
