Title: china bearings
Post by: Go Fleiter on April 21, 2009, 04:49:35 PM
Got a nice set of all wheel bearings plus seals, front and rear, for possible use this winter.
To my disappointment, some of the bearings had "China" stamped in. I got

1.)   inner race: HRB     15123
        outer race:      15245

2.)   inner race: China  DH (or [ ) H , is nastily lasered)  [ )53[ )65
outer race: Timken   made in USA  09195 (all embossed)
Oil paper:   Timken?  and  Daubert Chemical

3.)   inner race: China RB tech   25580
        outer race:           RB tech   25520

4.)   inner race:           25877
        outer race:          25821

5.) only one dust/ oil  seal (that with the cork ring inside) does have a mark: Gesco
I know of very different qualities of modern car bearings. Does anyone have sure knowlege on todays china bearings?

As every US and EUR brand has his china productions now, they however get their quality standards fulfilled.

Does Timken have Chinese production? Anyone knows these marks?

Thanks! Greetings Go
