Skinned Knuckles has been around since the 1970s and has always been my favorite magazine for restoration tips and procedures. In fact when I got into to other activities in the 1980s Skinned Knuckles was the only car magazine that I kept up a subscription too. They have just changed management as Bill Cannon is now only contributing articles as opposed to running the whole show. I hope the focus and quality remain, so far it has.

It is good to see that they are now marketing themselves a bit more with a new web site.

I have almost every issue [except Vol 1, issue 1--anyone have this one?-Aug 1976]; I have been buying all mine on eBay--never had a subscription but have almost every issue from 1976 to July 2005.
These are real good for old car folks. Been reading them almost everynight for 6 months.
You really need them especially if you have an odd car pre-1932: mold your own rubber parts ,i.e.: get correct lens brand & number for a 1923 Chandler headlight, repair a Vacuum fuel pump , fix a K-Seely fluid fuel gage,do babbit scraping, etc,etc. Where else can you get all this info.
Keep checking eBay for LARGE lots--you will get a better price.

I've been a subscriber for many years and have hundreds of issues also.? How much do they fetch on eBay? Might be time to thin the herd.

If you are going to list them you need to do so by cal. years or vol numbers--12 at a whack. prices vary from $.50 to $1.75 depending on the years-early cheaper and later more; you should start out at roughly $5.00 for 12 and see what happens if you want to get rid of them--note freight should be calculated by Media mail for how much they weigh. There are some on now at $6. each for one issue[excluding ft]--who ever that is absolutely nuts !!!! they will not sell. unless someone is wanting only one issue to fill in a COMPLETE set.

I've been a subscriber to SK from way back I actually have every issue published with the exception of issue numbers 1 ans 10. Great, to the point advise with some history to boot. You can't go wrong with this magazine.
