Can anyone tell me what the thickness of the bushings for the body, (forward cab mounts), are on a 1936 2dr sedan? I had two pieces that were doubled up on each side that are about 1/8 inch thick. I removed one (1/8 piece) from each side and now the throttle linkage hits the exhuast. I removed them to get the fenders to line up better in which they did. Then I realized that the starter button, exhaust link and several other things didnt line up. I pretty much have the answer in front of me but, i want to make sure I am headed in the right direction. Hi: if you're referring to the body mounting pads between the body cowl and frame, my car has 2 thin 1/8" rubber composition shim pads. However, any number of shims may be required to get consistent hood -to- body gaps and fenders- to -hood equal spacing. You may want to check if the door alignment is affected. Also, moving the rear hood hinge bracket to the right or left and adjusting the radiator support rods all work together with hood to body alignment.. a trial/error process which can take some time.

Thanks for your reply. I had two 1/8 in composit pieces in it and thought there should be one so I removed one. That helped the fender line up but I noticed that the throttle linkage was close to the manifold. I also noticed that the starter rod was now sitting a little higher and was stretching the rubber grommet. You answered my question so it looks like the fender will have to come off again. Thanks
