Can anyone direct me to a resource for mid 30's chrysler dodge, plymouth desoto technical data such as door length and overall chassis dimensions.
Specifically are dodge and plymouth doors interchangeable in 1936? would a 1935 dodge 2dr sedan door fit a 36 plymouth 4dr sedan? are the 2dr sedan doors on dodges and plymouths the same length as the coupes?
What is the length of a 2dr sedan door, a coupe door and a 4dr sedan door? (1935--37?)
what about Desoto?
would coupe bodies fit on a 2dr, 4dr sedan chassis? or are the sedan chassis longer?
I doubt you will find anything that specific.

Good to see the reference to my web site. :)
But unfortunately I don't have that information so it is not posted there... :(
The original '36 Ply.parts list shows 3 different part no's for the coupe,2 door and 4 door, with subset numbers depending on finish, primed , etc. Unfortunately there are no dimensions given . The 2 door sedan door width is about 40 1/4" at the upper hinge belt line for example.
Hope this helps.

Did you get the drawing I sent to you by E-mail? I tried to get it to load on this site and was unable.
Here is the drawing. Hope it helps.
Does anyone have a 1936 Ross Roy Data book? That should give the door dimensions - at least some of the earlier data books gave that info. The 1936-42 service manual has all the frame dimensions. I thought I had a '36 data book but find that I don't (or I couldn't find it, anyway!).
