Title: car cover
Post by: stovebolt on October 02, 2008, 05:44:57 PM
Hello everyone
I am in the process of buying a 1950 plymouth four door sedan. I want to order a car cover and was asked if the car is a P18  or P20. What's the difference and does it change the height, length or anything that would affect the cover

Stovebolt,

I really don't think the difference in size would matter.  But, here are
the deminsions.

P18 is a 1949 Special DeLuxe

P19:  overall length (including bumpers and guards):  186.5 inches
P20:      "       "          "            "          "       "         192 5/8ths inches

P19:  overall width:  72 7/8ths inches
P20:     "        "       73 5/8ths inches

P19:  wheel base:  111 inches
P20:     "       "       118.5 inches

Sorry, I can't seem to find the height measurements at this time.
Hope some of this helps.

Thankyou Bill  so much .  It looks like you said it won't make any difference in the cover.  I ordered from California Car Covers and that was a question weather it was a p18 or p20.  Thanks again

P18 and P20 should be the same size.  I think the question may have been - short wheelbase or long wheelbase?  P17 and P19 had a 111" wheelbase, P18 & P20 had a 118.5" wb
