Anyone tried an upholstery kit from Kanter Auto Products in Boonton, NJ? They offer seat cover kits presewn and additional matching cloth or vinyl for 25.00/yd. They say the covers are made from factory drawings and not original patterns. They also have headliners and upholstery accessories needed to redo our interiors. Any experience dealing with or buying from Kanter?
Do you know of anyone else that offers upholstery kits for 1937 Pymouth? I've not found anyone else.
I was wondering the same thing with my 36. It sure would be nice if someone did make them. If not I guess I'll give it a shot on my own. I was looking for the ease of it. Hopefully someone knows

Kanter sends me their catalog. I have not been on their website. I believe the catalog says cars from 1935 for upholstery kits. I will recheck it later. They will send you samples of cloth and colors you are interested in so you can choose your fabric. I will go to the website to see if I can find the kits.

OK, I could not find the seat covers on Kanter's website. I checked my Kanter catalog and it says upholstery kits available for most US cars, 1936-1980. A "kit" is actually the seat covers and you buy additional cloth for the side panels. There is also a seat rebuilt kit that contains what is needed to replace foam, burlap, etc. On their website you can request a catalog.

I guess I'll get one ofthere catalogs or give them a call. Thanks
Try Kathy Schrack for upholstery. She advertises in the Plymouth Bulletin.
Went thru same issue with my '36. If you have access to original sales catalogue, any good shop can match photos. Le Baron Bonney in Mass. has all kinds of fabrics and may be able to build you a kit if Schracks can't get to it.They make great kits for Fords, but would need original seat covers, door panels, etc to match them . The headliners are the toughest to install.
