The number on the block starts out:
TII2 (star) then rest of number.
Does anyone recognize this engine number?
James
T112 is a Dodge engineering code; used from September 1940 through December 1947
My memory may be faulty......but, if not, that T112 engine would be very desirable to anyone restoring an early WWII Dodge military truck.
There are internet sites for military truck restorers, which can be found with a 'Google' search, where the 'T' number designations for the various varieties of military Dodges are explained. The MVPA, Military Vehicle Preservation Association would be one of those, and/or have 'links' to other Dodge restorers sites.

T112 was used on the 1941-47 Dodge Truck, model WC ?-ton.? ?The engine has a 3.25" bore and 4.375" stroke, for 217.8-cid.? ?In other words, the same engine used in Dodge cars from 1933 to 1941 and Plymouth from 1942 to mid-1953.?
