I have a 37 with an L-6 and installed a NOS fuel pump last summer. After about 500 miles it quit. Diaphragm failed. Looks like the 70 year old diaphragm wasn't made of a substance that resists the ethanol that we have in our gas here in Illinois. Anyone know where I can pick up a replacement diaphragm? Andy wants over 70 bucks for a rebuilt. Pump's like new. I can replace the diaphragm myself.
Thanks, Rondini
Antique Auto Parts Cellar has the kit you need to rebuild the fuel pump with materials that resist modern gas.
I can vouch for Tom Haniford (Auto parts celler).
