I have a couple questions about my 36 Plymouth 2dr sedan. What side of the car doese the License plate bracket go on? Were is a good source for rubber parts for the inside floors? I need new rubber covers for the brake and shifter covers. Thanks

Factory photos show the front license plate bracket mounted on the driver's side, attached to the outside bumper bracket.
The rear bracket is also on the driver's side, attached to the left rear tail light.

Actually, the majority of factory photos, brochures and the photos in the Standard Catalog of American Cars do not show cars with front license plates. I think research will show that the standard placement of the front license plate is on the right side of a vehicle. The rear plate is usually mounted on the left rear (tail light) or center of the trunk....Bill

Actually, the source for my previous post is Plymouth Bulletin #164. On page 14 is a photo that appears to be a factory shot, with the plate holder on the driver's side.
Also, a reproduced Plymouth ad on page 21 of the same issue shows the license plate on the driver's side.
My own '36 had two license plate brackets on the front bumper when I bought it; one on each side, but I'm pretty sure that it didn't come from the factory that way.
