I think the door, etc, except for the windshield... widow moldings are basicly the same '37-39. If you cant find a molding for a coupe you could make a sedan molding longer bu adding a section from the rear door of a 4dr sdn. I have a set of window molding for a 4dr sdn if you cant find a coupe molding....Bill
I don't know about interchangeability but I expect Bill is right. The rear one seems prone to rust and hard to find, I've only seen one overpriced rusty one on eBay in 10 years.
I used 2 fordor front top sections to replace what was left of the top of my rear one,
In my 1936-1942 Master Parts list for the Plymouths it states "order by description" for garnish mouldings.
You might check with Moore's in Rapid City SD to see if they have any for your car.

if you are looking for door garnish mouldings for your coupe , they are different to the 4dr sedan as they are longer , mouldings off a 2 dr may work , i don't know . the windsheild moulding is peculier to the 39 as it is a V windsheild as opposed to the 37 - 38 which is flat. I heartily agree with Andy the rear screen moulding can be hard to find ,i don't know why but they seem to be prone to rust . I have been looking for a rear screen moulding for my 39 DeSotob which is the same as the Dodge D11 and Chrysler C22 for about 8-10 years and have not managed to find a good one yet ,but i do have a reasonably good 39 Plymouth one which is smaller ,i will probably have to end up doing what Andy had to do
The 1939 Plymouth came in two models P7 (roadkingcoupe) and P8 (deluxe). The P8 came equiped with the vent or quarter windows. So there is a slight difference in the window garnish mouldings. The good news is that the design allows you to drill out the rivets/spot welds and use a P8 on a P7. I know because I have done it.
? ? ?All 1937 1938 and 1939 Plymouth coupes (not including the rare Australian 3 window 1939 Plymouth coupe) can utilize the Window Garnish Mouldings with only slight modification.
? ? Now for those with a 1937 Plymouth Coupe there is a unique mechanism that predates the use of a seperate vent window. The window slides backwards in the track about 2 inches before it starts to roll down. This was an interesting attempt to allow the passengers some fresh air without the expense of adding a seperate 1/4 window. Please feel free to email me for any further info. Thanks.
