Title: Front leaf spring question
Post by: 36 Ply on July 18, 2008, 01:17:19 PM
Are the front leaf springs on a '36 Plymouth the same length or different lengths?

If they are different, which one is longer, driver's side or passenger side?

Thanks,

Pat O'Connor

Pat i can't answer your question as i dont have a 36 Plymouth parts book , but i do have a 36 Dodge one and i would think they would be very much the same ( although i couldn't guarantee it ) it gives a different part # for right and left spring , whether it is because they are different lenghts i don't know.

I'm looking in my parts manual right now. It looks like they used a lot of different parts numbers in '36. Most are the same on both sides but some are different.

Let me know if it is a P1 or P2, body number, assembly plant and body style and I'll see what it says for your particular car.

I should have just done this in the first place. It looks like if you have a well on one side but not the other, you have two different part numbers. Otherwise, only one...

Hope this helps.
