Title: 68 Roadrunner lights
Post by: carbuff2 on June 17, 2008, 08:13:57 AM
Hey guys! My beep-beep has an unusual problem. The headlight swith. When its off, the brake light do not work, but the turn signals do. when the headlights are on, nothing else works, but the turnsignals do. I canget all the running light to work, and the the brake lights work, and turn signals, but the front parking lights wont come on. I got a new headlight swith to change it out, thinking it was the problem. the new headlight switch does the same exact thing. Has this happened to anyone else? What gives?

It could be your turn signal switch in your steering column.  I?m having weird problems with my 68 Fury III.  When I took it to North Carolina last year, some of the turn signals worked during the day, with the lights off, and some worked at night with the lights on.  When I signaled a lane change, it would cancel my cruise control.  I bought a new switch, but I haven?t installed it yet.  Lee

I agree
and check all the connections on the rear harness, they tend to break and crack around the taillights
