Title: Rear axle shaft torque,'37
Post by: Pandanom on February 29, 2008, 04:20:32 PM
Does anyone know the torque for the 1 1/4" wrenching size nut that holds the brake drum/hub on the rear axle of a '37 P-4 4 door sedan? My manual only says "tight".

Thanks,

James

Thank you for responding John! On my VW bus with a fully splined shaft and reduction gearboxes the torque is 250 ft. lbs. so 150 for the Plymouth sounds about right. I'll go with that.
