Any ideas on where I can go to get the housing. I have one that broke when I removed the bearing. Any other years that are interchangable. Thanks for any help.
1935 to 1956 standard shift are all interchangeable in Plymouth and canadian Dodge.

I am told by all the suppliers the 1937 is different. I am needing the clips and was willing to buy the sleeve as they call it but none available. '36 may be different too. I assume you are talking about the piece the throwout bearing attaches to.
I have owned and repaired 35 and 37 , 40, and 50 to 56 and am sure that the part the release bearing presses onto , if not identical, will interchange. The difference may be that 35 to 39 have a coil spring hooked to the transmission and the release collar which helps pull the bearing back from the pressure plate fingers. Later models didn't use this.
If it is just one of the springs (kind of shaped like this : & ) that hold the collar to the release fork which has broken, once everything is assembled, it will not be missed.
